The Bible is full of wonderful truths.

Men and women who lived on earth, walked with God, experienced His love, and yet struggled in believing what He said. From the very beginning God crafts the earth in all of its beauty and creates man and woman, giving them all the earth. Yet Adam and Eve aren’t content. They fall right into Satan’s trap just like many of us.

"Did God really say...?" Every person who has lived since Adam and Eve has been tempted by Satan with these very words. Just as he coaxed Eve with this question in Genesis, Satan uses similar reasoning with us as he tempts us to water down God’s words, into us making our own decisions. We think we know what we need, and rather than going to God and asking, "Did you really say....?" we feel the urge to move ahead on our own, telling ourselves, "God did not really say....?"

Although the Bible doesn’t speak in specifics about every choice we must make, God’s word and a relationship with God Himself should be enough to help us choose God’s way. We can trust that He will never deceive us, mislead us, or abandon us. That is His promise in Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Our God, the only true and living God, who created the heavens and the earth, the maker and keeper of all things, cares deeply and intimately about you.

Spend a few moment this week talking with God.....tell Him, "God, I want to hear what you really say........."
